GOVERNANCE AND BOARD REPORTING
Support your organisation to become well and resilient.
What is Governance and Board Reporting?
Wellbeing governance is managing wellbeing and mental health in your organisation. Like financial governance, it’s a key role of leaders and boards. Governance is not only how we manage, but how we ensure transparency and keep checks on our management.
Why does this matter?
Lack of attention can lead to financial cost, time cost, people cost, emotional cost, risk to reputation and poor culture. It leaves your organisation exposed.
What does this look like when it's managed well?
It looks like safety and clarity. Leaders understand and translate wellbeing into regular working and reporting habits. The scene is set for trust and care in the workplace. Staff and leaders’ buckets are fuller and this overflows to clients and causes. It looks like the kind of workplace we would like to work in!
What does this look like when it's not managed well?
It looks like invisibility (excuse the oxymoron). It looks like leaders being too busy and not heeding warning signs. It looks like the wheels are starting to fall off, e.g. staff are unwell, there’s conflict, claims, absenteeism, turnover and a workplace that is stressful. In the social sector that means staff can’t bring their best selves to their beneficiaries or cause areas they serve.
