How can we generally re-engage volunteers, as well as after the impacts of COVID-19?

How can you re-engage volunteers? Volunteer supply is predicted to grow by 36.2% between 2020-2023. During COVID lockdowns there was a shift to more informal volunteering such as bringing our neighbours soup. The key tips for re-engaging volunteers are:

  • Planning - have a COVID management plan to both re-engage and grow volunteers. This includes legislation and health orders to map out your plan.
  • Access the 6 Step Guide to Re-Engaging Volunteers - NSW Government COVID Management plans and templates
  • Get information from Justice Connect about re-booting programs

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF COUNTRY

We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and waters and their knowledge of the places where we gather to collaborate and strengthen communities. In our work, we recognise the importance of Country, not just as a place, but how it also maintains community, family, kin, lore and language.

We pay our respects to Elders past and present.

This always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.

We support the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
