Our Story
We’re Jodie and Rob, and here at Happy Changemakers we support businesses and leaders who strive for positive change and make a difference in the world. We make our mark on the world by helping you make yours.
As experienced business mentors, we support you to:
- Identify and let go of the things that are holding you back,
- Tame the chaos and overwhelm that can come with running your own show,
- Focus on the things that will help you achieve your goals,
- Manage the expectations they you have of yourselves and others,
- Earn the money that you are worth, for the work you do.
We bring together a combined 55+ years across leadership, sales and marketing and governance, and have worked with 350+ not-for-profit organisations, social enterprises, co-operatives, start-ups and small businesses via our coaching services, workshops and skill development events including regional bushfire recovery & COVID Resilience & recovery.
We’re passionate about working with highly motivated business owners and leaders, and we have helped hundreds of businesses solve real-world problems, developing opportunities to take them to the next level.
We do this through 7 key services to support you, irrespective of the stage of your business – ideation, starting up or scaling up. They are set up as Packaged Solutions (see below), so you can see the exact investment you are making, and the results we’ll achieve together. In a nutshell, they are:
- Business Action Plans – If you’re not achieving the results you want in your enterprise, we’ll listen to you and help you formulate a plan for success, that includes a clear timeline to support your goals. Our Business Action Plans give you the latest tools and ideas to assist you with service, sales, and marketing.
- Prioritising, Planning and Setting Boundaries – If you’re struggling to know where to put the focus, a few hours with us will solve that and give you great clarity.
- Business Audit – Is the reward for effort unbalanced in your enterprise? If so, you’re not alone. We’ll review the last 12 months with you, and work through what’s working/what’s not, and put together a clear roadmap that will ensure your business is supporting you and the team, and not the other way around!
- Ideas for a new business or enterprise – If you are at the idea stage, and not sure which direction to take it, or if it’s worth pursuing, we’ll look at the right governance and business model with you, and within a week you’ll know which steps to take next.
- Product Development – This is one of our key super powers! We’ll help you build a product eco-system for either 1:1 or 1:Many delivery (online, group coaching, packages etc). We help with pricing, choosing technology platforms and creating clear steps and processes to assist with selling, customer onboarding and service delivery.
- Sales & Marketing Strategy and Business Development Strategy – We provide a very holistic package of services that will give you the strategy and implementation support to generate the sales that your business needs to thrive.
- Accountability Coaching – Now you have the plans and tools, will you stick to it? We know what it’s like, which is why we offer fortnightly Accountability Coaching, which is a proven leadership technique to help you embed the new practices, and get the results you want.
We have also spent many years creating tools, resources, workbooks, and comparing all the SAAS technology solutions that provide support to small business. You get to lean into all that support when you work with us at Happy Changemakers.

Intensive business mentoring to help you define and reach your business goals, sales and marketing, packaging your services, delivering more seamless services with your clients, growing your team and advice on implementing new systems and processes to give you more time and freedom.
Inclusions:
13 x 60-minute coaching sessions over 6 months.
NOTE: For each session we also allocate:
30 minutes session preparation time including pre-reading of any materials sent to us at least 48 hours beforehand
30 minutes session write-up time (e.g. outcomes and action items – to be sent to you within 48 hours after each session)
• 1 x 90-minute business action planning session (initially or at a logical point in time when you need an intensive)
