Leaning in for change: Benefolk joins Social Traders Convene 2025
Benefolk was proud to partner with Social Traders Convene 2025, held on Wednesday, 17 September at the RACV City Club in Melbourne - Australia’s largest gathering of changemakers in business, social enterprise, government, and philanthropy.
Our founder Julia Keady and Foundation Manager Annette Herschtal joined the conversation, leading a World Café session that sparked meaningful discussions around collaboration, innovation, and wellbeing in the social purpose sector.
The event carried a powerful sense of momentum and connection, as participants came together to learn, solve, and reimagine what’s possible when business is used as a force for good.
Opening the day, Social Traders CEO Tara Anderson set the tone with an inspiring call for practical idealism - encouraging everyone in the room to “lean in” to the challenges and opportunities of building a more sustainable, inclusive, and equitable future. It’s a message that deeply resonates with Benefolk’s mission to support the wellbeing of those driving social impact.
Convening on the same day as the final session of our inaugural Benefolk Wellbeing Summit, the event served as a timely reminder that collaboration and care must go hand in hand if we are to create lasting change.
Thank you to Social Traders Australia for creating such a valuable space to connect, share ideas, and continue shaping a stronger, more connected social enterprise movement.
