The Social Impact in the Regions Conference brought together changemakers from across Australia to explore how communities can strengthen connection, leadership, and healing through purpose-driven work.
Benefolk’s Founder and CEO, Julia Keady, joined a powerful panel discussion, “The Work of Healing,” alongside Father Jesse Poole (Anglican Parish, Kempsey) and Paul Dutton (First 2000 Days Program Manager), facilitated by Dr Geoff Woolcock from the University of Southern Queensland.
Together, the panel reflected on the emotional and spiritual toll of social impact work — and the deep need for collective wellbeing in those who lead it. Themes of rest, presence, and connection to Country and purpose resonated throughout the session.
For Julia, the conversation was another opportunity to champion the wellbeing of changemakers, ensuring that those who care for others are also supported to heal, rest, and thrive.
Benefolk is proud to represent and advocate for the wellbeing of Australia’s social sector leaders at events like Social Impact in the Regions — strengthening the capacity of communities from the inside out.
